CAIRO –25 August 2017: Hans-Joachim Watzke, Borussia Dortmund’s CEO spoke on August 25 regarding Dortmund’s player Ousmane Dembele’s transfer to FC Barcelona.

Talking in the press conference, Watzke confirmed that Dortmund are getting closer to reaching an agreement with Spanish Giants FC Barcelona regarding the transfer of Dembele.

Watzke said, "I can only tell you that we are on the way [to reaching an agreement], but we've not reached the end yet,” citing from ESPN.

Watzke concluded, “Should Ousmane Dembele be transferred, it would weaken us on the pitch. We might go into the market again but it's a fact that there's no like-for-like replacement for Ousmane,” according to ESPN.

FC Barcelona is reported to pay €105 million ($124 million) to Dortmund with a possible of another €40 million add-ons in order to get the signing of Dortmund’s talented winger, as reported from Diario Sport.

FC Barcelona became interested in signing a new winger ever since the departure of their winger Neymar, who left the club to join Paris Saint Germain on August 11.
