Thu, Aug.24, 2017: Football agent Mino Raiola believes that Neymar Jr’s transfer to Paris Saint Germain was done by Qatar, not by the club. Raiola’s comments were made on Thursday during a meeting with Paris Saint Germain.

“The market, as such, no longer exists. Now it is countries who are signing players and that isn't football.” Raiola said.

Paris Saint Germain owned by Qatari businessman Nasser Al Khelaifi, signed Neymar Jr. from Barcelona for € 222 million.

On the other hand, Raiola thinks that the players’ transfer fees will be affected with Neymar’s move in the future. He said “transfers of € 200 million are going to be normal from now on, it won't be crazy to see that."

Raiola represents many great players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba.

Raiol also believes that Barcelona star Lionel Messi has to leave Barcelona and go for a new challenge outside the Catalan giants, Raiola said on Thursday.

“A player like Messi must try another experience with a different club and prove how great he is," Raiola said.

Lionel Messi is a Barcelona academy product. He joined the club from Argentina when he was just 13 and spent all his career playing for his childhood club.

Raiola added “Barcelona must be reinvented again.”
