CAIRO – 23 August 2017: Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool’s manager, spoke on August 22 about Liverpool’s winger Philippe Coutinho’s recent transfer news to FC Barcelona.

Speaking in Liverpool’s pre-match press conference against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, Klopp addressed Coutinho’s transfer case stating that he will remain a Liverpool player. However, he told the reporters that Coutinho won’t participate in the upcoming games due to being unfit.

Klopp said, “It's 100 percent clear that nothing has changed. I said it already -- my English is not good enough to give 500 different answers to the same question,” citing from ESPN.

Klopp concluded, “It will take time because Coutinho has not trained for a long time. I've no idea at this moment [when he will return[, we would have to check when he is back,” according to Sky Sports.

FC Barcelona officials have been interested in signing Liverpool’s winger Philippe Coutinho ever since the transfer of ex Barcelona winger Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain on August 10. However, Liverpool’s officials have been resistant to all the lucrative offers presented by FC Barcelona regarding Coutinho.
