CAIRO - 22 August 2017: Manchester City had a 1–1 draw with Everton on Monday at the Premier League second round at Manchester City Stadium (El Etihad).

The game started with both teams trying to score the first goal to have the upper hand in the game. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola started the game with Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus playing together on the offensive line.

After many attempts from Manchester City to score, Everton striker Wayne Rooney surprised Manchester City fans with a goal in the 35th minute.

Manchester City's new signing, Kyle Walker, got a red card minutes after Everton’s goal, making the game harder for Manchester City.

The second half started with many attempts from Manchester City substitute Raheem Sterling.

Sterling led Manchester City's attacks until he succeeded to score the equalizer for his team only 11 minutes away from the final whistle.

Both teams tried to score the winning goal, but in the end, both goalkeepers saved many attempts, and the game concluded 1-1.

Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi was picked as “man of the match” from Whoscored.com.
