CAIRO – 15 August 2017: The Egyptian Football Association officially announced the arbitration team for the final of the Egyptian Cup scheduled for Tuesday at 9 p.m. at Borg El Arab Stadium.

Essam Abdel Fattah, member of the board of the Egyptian Football Association and head of the referees committee, announced on Monday the names of the foreign officials who will referee the Egyptian Cup final match between Al Ahly and Al Masry at Borg El Arab Stadium on Tuesday. The arbitration team will be from Norway, led by referee Svein Oddvar Moen and assisted by two line men, Kim Thomas and Magnus Landsberg, while the fourth referee will be Badawi Hemeda from Egypt.

Al Ahly qualified for the final of the Egyptian Cup after smashing Alexandrian club Smouha SC with four goals in a one-sided game. Al Ahly’s goals were scored by Junior Ajayi, Saleh Gomaa and Walid Soliman, who scored two goals.

Al Masry qualified to the final after defeating Zamalek. Al Masry managed to secure its seat in the final with two late goals. The first was scored in the 86th minute of the game by Abdallah Gomaa from a penalty kick given to Al Masry after a ridiculous foul by Zamalek defensive midfielder Ahmed Tawfiq made in the penalty area. The other goal was scored by Abdallah Bika in the 90th minute from a fast break counter attack performed well by Al Masry players.
