CAIRO- 6 August 2017: English team Aston Villa FC ended its match against Hull City AFC with a 1-1 draw in the first round of the English Championship. Egyptian international player Ahmed Al Mohamady played for Aston Villa in the match.

Al Mohamady took part in the whole game, while English player Gabriel Agbonlahor netted the first goal for Aston Villa in the 7th minute of the first half.

British forward Jarrod Bowen scored his first Hull City goal as the Tigers came from behind, bringing the match with Aston Villa to a draw.

With this result, the two teams gained the first point in the English Championship. Al Mohamady moved from English club Hull City to Aston Villa during the current transfer period.

Hull City boss Leonid Slutsky admits he wanted to keep Ahmed Al Mohamady this season before the winger opted to join Aston Villa in a £1 million ($1.3M) deal.

Al Mohamady ended his five-year association with Hull City last month when former boss Steve Bruce triggered the £1m release clause to take the Egyptian international to Villa Park.

The Tigers were powerless to stand in the 29-year-old’s way following relegation from the Premier League, but they only had to wait 17 days for a reunion season with Al Mohamady.

The 36-year-old former England captain John Terry, who won five Premier League titles with Chelsea and capped 78 times by England, joined the Aston Villa FC in the summer after leaving Chelsea. He played the full game.
