CAIRO – 2 August 2017: Liverpool’s new season ambition is to win the Premier League after many years of absence, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said to reporters during a news conference on Tuesday.

“Yes, we will be playing for the championship. We don't start a season by not having any ambitions. We have to have our goals, and I think we have a very good team now. We did have a bit of bad luck last season. I think we can play a little bit better,” Klopp said during Liverpool’s participation in the friendly pre-season Audi Cup tournament in Germany.

Liverpool added great players to their team, signing Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah from AS Roma, promising English striker Dominic Solanke from Chelsea, and Andrew Robertson from Hull City.

Klopp added, “Let's hope everything will work very well and that there isn't much more to improve. We have to work very hard on it, and we're doing that."

Klopp’s last Premier League title was in 1990, and their fans can’t wait to win the title again.
