CAIRO, 28 April 2026: Pyramids FC pulled off a huge 3-0 win against Al Ahly on Monday night, proving they are serious contenders for the Egyptian Premier League title.

Fiston Mayele was the star, scoring twice (69' and 77') to break the game open. Karim Hafez added a late penalty in stoppage time to wrap up the scoring.

In the 75th minute, Al Ahly thought they had tied the game through Trezeguet, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

It wasn't just about the goals; it was a rough night for discipline. Pyramids’ Mohamed Chibi got a yellow card and will miss their next game. Even worse for Al Ahly, Mohamed Hany picked up a booking that rules him out of the massive "Cairo Derby" against Zamalek.

Current Standings This win moves Pyramids into second place with 47 points, sitting just three points behind leaders Zamalek. Al Ahly drops to third with 44 points, putting them in a tough spot as the season winds down.

Quick Table
