CAIRO – 25 July 2017: On July 25, 2016 the English club Stoke City announced the signing of the young and talented Egyptian Ramadan Sobhi for 5 years.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder joined the Premier League team from Al Ahly. Sobhi played in the Al Ahly jersey in 74 matches, scored 17 goals, and 15 assists. Sobhi helped Al Ahly win the CAF Confederations Cup title and 2 Egyptian Premier League titles.

Sobhi played his first match with Stoke City with the U23 team, then he made his first appearance in the Premier League in a match against Manchester City. It was a big challenge for him. He wore Stoke City’s jersey in 19 matches without scoring any goals in the last season, but he had 2 assists for that team. Sobhi is now one of the key players for Stoke City. Mark Hughes depends on him heavily in the PL matches.
