CAIRO – 23 July 2017: Ahmed al-Mohamady contributed to Aston Villa’s 3-0 victory over Duisburg, German club, on July 23 in the Tradition Cup.

Aston Villa won 3-0 in a match that was only 45 minutes long due to the rules of the friendly tournament. Andre Green opened the score for Aston Villa at the 21st minute.

Then, Mohamady who recently joined Aston Villa managed to do an assist for Scott Hogan to score the second at the 24th minute. Hogan then scored his second goal in the game, and the third for Aston Villa at the 36th minute to end the match with a 3-0 victory.

The Tradition Cup that takes place in Germany is played among four teams: Hertha Berlin and Duisburg from Germany, Aston Villa from England, and Malaga from Spain.

The 29 year old Aston Villa’s right back Mohamady reunited with his manager Steve Bruce after leaving Hull City earlier this month.
