CAIRO –23 July 2017: July 22 saw four Egyptian international players play friendly matches with their teams as part of their preparations for the upcoming season.

Mohamed Salah, Liverpool winger, scored Liverpool’s second goal, which crowned them the champions of the pre-season Premier League Asia trophy after beating Leicester City.

Ahmed Hegazi, West Bromwich Albion defender, lost his second match in his second appearance with West Bromwich Albion 2-0 against Crystal Palace. Hegazi managed to play for the whole match for the first time with West Bromwich. It is good to mention that Hegazi played 65 minutes in his first game with West Bromwich against Leicester City.

Mohamed El Neny, Arsenal midfielder, participated as a substitute in Arsenal’s 3-0 loss against Chelsea. Arsene Wenger, Arsenal’s manager, is trying El Neny at a new position, changing him from a midfielder to a center back. However, he sometimes plays in his regular position as a midfielder.

Ramadan Sobhy, Stoke City winger, starred in the starting lineup of Stoke City and was substituted in the 77th minute in Stoke’s 1-0 victory against Amiens.

Sobhy, El Neny, Hegazi, and Salah are set to play against each other in the upcoming English Premier League that will start on August 11.
