CAIRO - 21 July 2017: Egypt faces Tunisia in U-16 Basketball African Championship semifinals on Friday, Egypt seeks to win and qualify for U-17 World Cup in Argentina.
Egypt had a great run in the competition winning all the matches, the boys are ready to secure a place in the final on Saturday.

Egypt started the competition playing in Group B alongside Madagascar, Rwanda and Algeria; Egyptian team won six matches, two matches against each team in the group, to qualify to semi-finals on top of the Group.

Tunisia played in Group A with Mali, Mozambique and the host nation, Mauritius, Tunisia won four matches and they lost their two matches against Mali to reach the semi-finals as the second place.

Algeria faces Mali on the other semi final, both teams wants to secure a place in the final and the upcoming World Cup.

Mauritius hosts U-16 Basketball African Championship from July 13 to 22.
