CAIRO, December 28, 2023: The Final of Egyptian Super Cup takes place at Mohamed bin Zayed stadium in UAE on Thursday night between Al-Ahly & Modern Future.

 

Al Ahly, led by Marcel Koller, and Modern Future concluded their preparations to face off as both clubs aim to claim the precious title.

The match will be broadcast on the “Abu Dhabi” sports channel network and “On Time Sports Channel.”

 

Al Ahly qualified for the final of the Egyptian Super Cup after defeating Ceramica Cleopatra 1-0 thanks to a late goal by Emam Ashour. While Modern Future qualified for the final after defeating Pyramids on penalties with a score of 14/13 after regular time ended in a goalless draw.

 

After the previous editions witnessed a single match between the league and cup champions, the Egyptian Super Cup football competition will begin in its new twenty-first edition for the first time with the participation of four clubs: Al-Ahly, the defending champion, Ceramica Cleopatra, Pyramids, and Modern Future.

Future was replaced by Zamalek, who was excluded from the competition due to being punished for withdrawing from the previous edition.

The organizing committee announced the tournament prizes, with the winner getting $250,000, the runner-up getting $125,000, the third getting $75,000, and the fourth getting $50,000.

 

 

The Red Giant enters the Super Cup final match in high spirits after winning the fourth bronze medal in its history in the FIFA Club World Cup, through nine of its participation in the tournament.

 

The Red Giants played three matches in the Club World Cup, which was hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, by defeating Al-Ittihad Jeddah with a score of 3-1. Then a loss against Brazilian Fluminense by two goals before defeating Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds 4-2.
