Mohamed El Shenawy, Al Ahly captain, was happy with the team's 3-0 away win over Esperance of Tunisia on Friday night in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-final.

However, El Shenawy believes that his team didn't book their place in the final despite the huge advantage.

"We haven't won the tie yet. We won the first leg but we have a second game after one week at home. Esperance is a big team and we prepared for them very well." El Shenawy said.

Al Ahly opened the score with a left-footed shot from Percy Tau after only nine minutes from the start. In the second half, Tau added another goal from a solo effort.

Mahmoud Kahraba scored the third goal after a beautiful counter-attack to secure an emphatic win for the Egyptians.

El Shenawy added "I am happy with the victory. We will celebrate tonight and tomorrow we will start preparing for the second leg."

The two teams will meet again next Friday in Cairo with the winner facing the winner between Wydad Casablanca and Mamelodi Sundowns in the final.
