CAIRO - 9 July 2022: Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool's manager, revealed his delight with the renewal of Mohamed Salah's contract that will keep the player at the club till 2025.

The German manager praised the Egyptian player, who has been clinical to Liverpool's successes since his arrival from AS Roma in 2017, guiding his team to the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League titles.

"He is very happy now that he can extend his time here. We are very happy, a world-class player. Imagine you have to sign Mo Salah now; he’s in another club and you want a player with the numbers he created over the years. It’s pretty much not possible. But we have him and he wants to stay. It is very good news." Klopp said.

The Egyptian winger extended his contract with the Reds, putting an end to all the speculations that linked him with a move away from Anfield.

Klopp added "I spoke to him and it was always clear: ‘I want to stay.’ But it’s an important contract, different things have to be considered and that’s what takes time sometimes."

This summer saw decisive change in the club's attacking line following the departure of Sadio Mane and the arrival of Darwin Núñez.
