CAIRO - 20 May 2022: Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool manager, stated that he will not take any risk with Mohamed Salah despite the Egyptian winger's battle to win the Premier League's golden boot.

Salah, who missed his team's 2-1 win over Southampton for injury, is in contention to win the Premier League's top goalscorer award for the third time in history.

"We actually understand 100% the goalscoring battle with Son Heung-Min, but there's no chance we take any risk. Mo doesn't want to take any risks, I've no doubt about that." Klopp stated in the pre-game press conference.

The Egyptian leads the race with 22 goals and he is one goal ahead of Tottenham Hotspur's Son Heung-Min.

The last round of the league has massive importance for Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur as the Reds still have a chance to clinch the league title when they host Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Liverpool need to win the three points, hoping for a win or a draw for Aston Villa against Manchester City to achieve the league title.

On the other hand, Tottenham Hotspur will fight for the three points against the already-relegated Norwich City to secure their place in the UEFA Champions League next season.
