CAIRO -7 May 2022: Al Ahly will host ES Setif of Algeria on Saturday night at Al Ahly Stadium in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals.

Pitso Mosimane, Al Ahly's head coach, hopes to lead the Red Devils to the CAF Champions League final for the third straight season.

After capturing the title in 2020 and 2021, Mosimane's eyes are on the third final as the South African aims to be the first coach ever to win the title in three straight seasons.

However, Mosimane knows that his team will not have an easy mission against the Algerians, who sprang a major surprise in the quarter-finals when they knocked out Esperance with a victory in Tunisia.

"Small details matter. Al Ahly have been in the semi-finals many times. We know how to play those kind of games. They play strong and attack home and away. They are a well-coached team." Mosimane said in the pre-game press conference.

Al Ahly enter the game without two of their key players, Mohamed Abdelmonem and Amr El Soulia, who will miss the game for injury but the good news is the return of the team's creative mind this season, Ahmed Abdelkader.

The game starts tonight at 9:00 PM.
