CAIRO, 5 February 2022: Al-Ahly qualified for the semi-finals of the 2021 Club World Cup in the tournament being held at Abu Dhabi, after defeating the Mexican team Monterrey with a goal without a response in the preliminary round.
The goal of Al-Ahly's victory came with a marvelous shot from right-back Mohamed Hani.
Al-Ahly will play against Palmeiras, Brazil, on Tuesday, February 8, in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup.
Thus, Al-Ahly reached the semi-finals of the Club World Cup for the fourth time in its history, out of 7 participations in the tournament.
The red team also achieved its fifth victory in the history of its participation in the Club World Cup.
