Five of Al Ahly players tested positive for COVID-19

CAIRO, 9 January 2022: Dr. Ahmed Abu Abla, the doctor of the first football team in Al-Ahly Club, announced that five of Al Ahly players were tested positive for COVID-19.
 
Al Ahly players, who conducted tests on Saturday, are Yasser Ibrahim, Percy Tao, Louis Miccisoni, Ahmed Nabil Koka and Ahmed Abdel Qader.
 
Abu Abla explained that the five are currently subject to the necessary treatment protocol, and all of them are under permanent observation, and they are currently being followed up on an ongoing basis.
 
The medical staff had stated that the five players underwent a medical examination outside the club yesterday, Saturday, before the start of training, because they felt some symptoms.
 
The medical staff was keen to conduct a new medical examination for the players and the technical and administrative staff before the start of yesterday's training, Saturday; To check on the condition of all players, in light of the emphasis on precautionary measures to confront Corona.
 
Al-Ahly resumed their training Sunday, in the framework of preparations to face El-Gouna in the Egyptian Professional Clubs Cup.
