CAIRO –10 July 2017:Moroccan striker Walid Azarou, the newcomer to the Red Castle Al Ahly team, joined the team’s training on Monday for the first time since signing his contract with Al Ahly.

Said Abdel Hafiz, the director of Al Ahly football, announced the arrival of the Moroccan center forward on Monday morning after obtaining a visa, which ended the procedures for extraction by Al Ahly officials in the past hours, Al Ahly’s official website reported.

Azarou joined Al Ahly in June, coming from Difaâ Hassani d'El Jadida in a free transfer deal, which includes the 21-year-old forward earning $300k yearly, with a $50k raise after every season, according to Filgoal.

Red Castle is preparing for their match against Wadi Degla in the eighth round of the Egyptian Cup, scheduled for next Wednesday at Al Salam stadium. Al Ahly qualified earlier for the quarterfinals of the African Champions League after they defeated Coton Sport FC at Borg Al Arab stadium in the last game of the group stage of the tournament.
