CAIRO-25 November 2021: Al Ahly and Smouha will face off on Thursday afternoon in the sixth fixture of the Egyptian Premier League at Al Ahly stadium in Al Salam.

The Red Devils are in a great run of form since the start of the league season with five wins out of five games, leading the table with two points clear.

Ali Maaloul, who scored Al Ahly’s winning goal in the dying seconds of the game against Ghazl El Mahalla last week, will not be available for the match as he is suffering from an adductor muscle injury.

“The Tunisian defender began his recovery program on Tuesday after feeling pain in the adductor muscle following the team’s 3-2 victory over Ghazl El Mahalla.” Al Ahly stated on Thursday.

Also, Al Ahly’s in-form midfielder, Amr El Soulia, will miss the game due to accumulation of yellow cards and it will be a difficult test for Pitso Mosimane , Al Ahly’s coach, to find a replacement for the duo.

On the other hand, Smouha hope to put an end to the team’s poor start in the competition, having achieved 6 points after four matches.

The game starts at 4:00 PM.
