CAIRO-17 September 2021: Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp refused to comment on the ongoing negotiations between the club and their Egyptian star Mohamed Salah to renew his contract.

The Egyptian's contract with the Reds expires in 2023 summer and the club could not reach an agreement with the winger despite their obvious desire to tie down their Egyptian star.

"There's nothing really to say, especially from me as I am not involved. The only thing I'm really interested in is how Mo looks, how sharp and committed he is at the moment, and that's absolutely spot on." Klopp said.

The German coach was the one who signed Salah from Roma in 2017 summer, giving him the chance to establish his name as one of the best in the league's history.

The Egyptian has been instrumental with the Reds this season, having scored in four of his five appearances.

Salah netted his 100th Premier League goal last week against Leeds United and he is four goals away from dethroning Didier Drogba as the  African player with most goals in the Premier League.
