CAIRO-10 September 2021: Cairo giants, Al Ahly and Zamalek, will meet on Friday night at Hassan Mostafa indoor sports complex hall in the African Handball Super Cup.

The two teams met in two crunching matches last April. The first game was the Egyptian League final and the White Knights were able to win the match and secure the league title while Al Ahly bounced back in the domestic cup final and won the title after defeating Zamalek.

Al Ahly will enter the game in high spirits after winning the African Cup Winners' Cup last week in Morocco and they strengthened their squad with the Cuban player Angel Hernandez.

On the other hand, the White Knights are ready for the game after adding some new players to their already solid squad in the summer. Zamalek signed Egypt international Seif El Deraa and re-signed Egypt national team goalkeeper Karim Hendawy.

The performance of the goalkeepers will be vital in the game as Egypt national team goalkeepers, Zamalek's Hendawy and Al Ahly's Mohamed Essam El Tayar, will come face to face.

The eagerly awaited match will decide the team that will represent Africa in the upcoming IHF Super Globe in Saudi Arabia next October.
