CAIRO-14 August 2021: The Cairo giants, Al Ahly and Zamalek, are ready for another tough fixture in one of the fiercest Egyptian League title races ever.

Zamalek are back to the driving wheel as they are leading the standings by two points, with five games remaining in the league campaign, including tonight’s matches.

The White Knights have a golden chance to win the title for the first time since 2015 when they won their sole league title of the last decade. They need to get the 15 points out of the remaining five matches to lift the trophy.

However, they are facing a tough test tonight in Ismailia at 7:00 PM against euphoric Ismaily, led by Ihab Galal, former Zamalek manager.

The Brazilians of Ismailia made a huge favor for Zamaleklast week with a dramatic 1-1 draw against Al Ahly thanks to a beautiful header from Fakhereedine Ben Youssef and a heroic performance from their goalkeeper, Mohamed Fawzy.

Al Ahly fans are waiting for a positive result for Ismaily, especially that Zamalek will miss their Moroccan winger, Achraf Bencharki for suspension.

“I do not care who wins the league at the end of the season. All I know that I want to win every match. I want to defeat Zamalek and finish the season strong.” Galal said.

On the other hand, Al Ahly will face Enppi tonight at Al Ahly Stadium in a win-or-die match for the defending champions, who cannot accept any result but victory to keep their hopes to win the title alive.

The Red Devils will miss their top scorer Mohamed Sherif for injury and they are expected to count on his back-up, Walter Bwalya in the frontline.

The fans of football in Egypt are waiting for tonight’s action with every side hoping to finish the day atop of the table.
