CAIRO-29 July 2021: Al Ahly face Aswan on Thursday night in a game postponed from Week 17 of the Egyptian Premier League.

The Red Devils are six points behind the leaders Zamalek with two games in hand and they hope to close the gap at the top with a victory tonight.

Al Ahly players know that they must win all the remaining games in the league if they want to maintain their lead over their arch-rivals atop of the table.

The defending champions secured a last-gasp win last week as they came from 2-1 down to defeat El Entag El Harby 3-2 in the last 10 minutes of the match.

Hamdy Fathy missed the last game for personal reasons but he is included in the team's squad for tonight's game, boosting the team's power in midfield.

Despite missing their coach Ahmed Mostafa, who tested positive for COVID-19, Aswan will fight to avoid a defeat against Al Ahly to bolster their chances in the relegation battle as they are 16th in the league table with 25 points.

The game starts at 7:00 PM.
