CAIRO-23 June 2021: Ahmed Megahed, the president of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced that Al Ahly fans will not be able to attend next Saturday’s match between Al Ahly and Esperance.

Al Ahly host the Tunisian team in the second leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals and they requested from the EFA to allow fans to the stadium but their request was not approved for security reasons.

Al Ahly resumed their preparations for the game on Tuesday at their training facility, El Tetsh Stadium in Gezira, following the 48-hour rest that followed their 1-0 victory in the first leg in Tunisia.

The first leg in Tunisia witnessed the attendance of 10,000 Tunisian fans according to reports and the game was postponed for one hour due to riots in the stands.

The Red Eagles are heading to the game with a slight advantage and they want to secure their spot in the final, avoiding no surprises from the Tunisians, who are famous for having better performances when they play away games.
