CAIRO-18 June 2021: Zamalek set up a classic clash against arch-rivals Al Ahly in the Egyptian Volleyball Cup final.

Al Ahly reached the final after defeating Al Ittihad of Alexandria in three straight sets (25-21, 25-14 and 25-15), securing a place in the Cup final.

On the other hand, Zamalek faced some resistance from their opponents in the semi-finals, El Geish as the White Knights won the first two sets 25-23 and 25-14 but El Geish players returned in the game with a 25-19 win in the third set. However, Zamalek players had the upper hand in the fourth set, which ended 25-17 for Zamalek.

Suez Canal Authority hall in Ismailia will host the final on Friday night in a repeat of the two teams' match in the final fixture of the league earlier in June.

Al Ahly ousted Zamalek in the league final and won the game 3-0 and they hope to win the cup final and complete the domestic double for the fourth season in a row.

Zamalek players seek a revenge from their loss in the league and they want to show better performance against Al Ahly to win the cup title for the first time since 2016. The game will start at 6:00 PM.
