Shikabala: We want to win the domestic double

CAIRO-12 June 2021: Zamalek captain Mahmoud Abdelrazek Shikabala stated that the team players will fight to win the Egyptian League and the Egyptian Cup titles this season.

“We are still in two competitions, the league and the cup and we will fight to win the two titles. I promise our fans that we will do our best this season to make them happy. We will fight till the last game of the season.” Shikabala said in an interview with Zamalek’s channel on Friday.

The White Knights are leading the Egyptian League table with 55 points and they are 14 points ahead of their rivals Al Ahly, who still have six games to play.

Zamalek also reached the Cup quarter-finals after defeating Ismaily 1-0 thanks to a goal from Achraf Bencharki.

Zamalek captain added “I am back to training with the team after a minor injury in the adductor muscle and I am ready to help the team in the next games.”

Zamalek hope to maintain their strong run in the league this season when they face Aswan on Thursday.
