CAIRO – 7July 2017: The Egyptian football family mourns the Egyptian soldiers who were killed in a terror attack in a checkpoint in North Sinai.

Sherif Ekramy, Al-Ahly goalkeeper, wrote on his official Twitter account, "May Allah have mercy on the martyrs of our armed forces, the heroes, and may God grant them paradise."

Sayed Moawad, former Al-Ahly defender, posted a photo of one of the victims on his Twitter account and wrote, “God, have mercy on our martyrs from the armed forces and make them from the people of Paradise. God save Egypt and its people."

The Al-Ahly board also mourned the terror attack victims in an official statement; they mentioned in the statement that Egyptians will continue on their way of fighting terrorism.

Egyptian Football Federation President Hany Abo Rida mourns the victims and insists that the whole Egyptian football family should support the victims' families.

Twenty six soldiers were killed in a suicide bombing attack on an army checkpoint in Northern Sinai Friday morning.
