CAIRO – 5 July 2017:Barcelona players Gerard Piqua, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba travelled to Qatar to spend their vacation there, this visit is a part of their tour in Middle East.
Barcelona stars played a friendly match in Sidon, Lebanon to mark the retirement of Lebanese footballer, Roda Antar, after the game they headed to Qatar to spend their vacation.
Qatar government uses its relation with Big names in football to overcome their struggle on the political field, Doha used to host big teams pre- season and organize friendly matches.
Pique told reporters about his feelings in Doha, “I am very happy to be in the Qatar Mall on July 5 and be with all of you." according to sport-English.com.
Barcelona players were taking photos with Tamim supporting shirts during their visit to Aspire Academy in Doha.
On June 5, a number of Arab countries, led by Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, cut diplomatic ties with Qatar and imposed economic sanctions on Doha, accusing it of supporting and funding terrorism across the Middle East region.
