CAIRO-23 April 2021: Zamalek's head coach Patrice Carteron believes that his team has everything needed to dominated the domestic scene this season.

The French head coach stated on Thursday night after the 2-0 victory over El Entag El Harby that his team will fight to win the League and Cup titles this season.

"The league competition is tough this season and we have to fight to win every game. It is still a long road to run." Carteron said in the post-match press conference.

Zamalek achieved an important 2-0 win over El Entag El Harby on Thursday night, extending their lead atop of the table to six points ahead of Al Ahly, who still have three games to play.

The French manager added "We are out of the Champions League this season but we still have the league and the cup competitions and we will fight to win both titles."

Carteron and his coaching staff had a difficult mission in the build-up to the game, trying to restore enthusiasm of their players after the loss in the Cairo derby.

Carteron revealed his post-derby discussion with his players, saying "I discussed what happened in the game with my players. I told them that if we scored the penalty in the second half, everything would have changed."

Zamalek's defender Mahmoud Alaa missed a penalty in the second half of the game against Al Ahly when the Red Eagles were leading 2-1.

The White Knights hope to maintain the winning momentum when they face National Bank SC on Monday at 9:30 PM.
