CAIRO-23 April 2021: Barcelona's captain Lionel Messi put on another impressive performance on Thursday night at Camp Nou, leading his team to a comfortable 5-2 win over Getafe. 
 
The Argentine star scored two goals for his team, set up another goal to help his team win vital three points. 
 
Messi opened the score for the Copa del Rey champions after eight minutes. Messi received a beautiful pass from Sergio Busquets that broke the opponent's defence and then he went forward to put the ball in the top corner.

Messi added his second goal in the game, minutes before half-time when Barcelona were leading 2-1. 
 
Messi's right-footed shot hit the post, rebounded and landed back to his left foot. Messi tapped the ball in from a tight angle to make the score 3-1.

Messi had a chance to complete the hat-trick when Barcelona were awarded a late penalty in the game but he gave the ball to his teammate Antoine Griezmann, who converted the penalty to make the score 5-2 for the Catalan giants.

Messi's brace took him to the 25-goal mark, which he hit for the 12th season in a row. 
 
Lionel Messi is leading the race for the Pichichi trophy, which is given to the top scorer in La Liga, four goals ahead of Real Madrid's Karim Benzema.
