Al Ahly punishes Ghaly

CAIRO – 5 July 2017:

Hossam El Badry, Al Ahly coach, penalized Al Ahly captain Hossam Ghaly on Tuesday for his behavior in the match against Al Masry.

“It is not the first time, we punished him before after many clashes with his teammates but it seems that he didn’t learn,” Badry told Egypt Today.

Ghaly objected to Badry’s orders during half time. Badry substituted the captain and penalized him.

Ghaly’s penalties include a 100K reduction, excluding him from the upcoming Coton Sport match Saturday and being stripped of the captain armband.

Saleh Gomaa, Al Ahly midfielder, scored a late goal to end the match with a draw against Al Masry who scored first.

Al Ahly continued their undefeated streak in the Egyptian League this season, with only one match left in the season against Zamalek on July 17.

Al Ahly will play an important match against Cameroonian side Coton Sport in the last African Champions League Group match on Saturday.
