The Governor of South Sinai Khaled Foudda Seddiq Mohamed will attend the camp on the final day, while AUC President Francis J. Ricciardone, Dean of Students George Marquis, Associate Vice President for Campus Services Noel Knille and Vice President for Digital Innovation Hanna Abdel Meguid will visit the camp throughout the week to engage with students.

The 40 students will be divided into four teams of 10 members which will compete against each other across a range of activities in the sphere of civil society engagement and capacity building. The Dean and President will also listen to students’ new ideas for the university.

The presidents of all student organizations and associations at AUC were invited to attend the camp. Interested students were expected to complete an application from which a camp committee chose the best candidates.

According to AUC News, The camp founder Mohamed Alaa said, “We are happy to have President Ricciardone and other members of the AUC administration at the camp to establish a platform of communication with student leaders because they are the ones leading the voice of the student body.”
