Huawei launches the biggest developers contest for apps innovation “Apps UP” in the Middle East

As part of its continuous efforts to assist its users and the developers’ community, Huawei invites developers around the Middle East to put their skills to the test on a global stage with the launch of HUAWEI HMS App Innovation Contest, Apps UP, launching on 13thof Julytill 30th of August.

 

Huawei will offer USD$200,000 in cash prizes for the winners, funded by the Shining-Star Program in the following categories: Best App, Best Game, Best Social Impact App, Most Popular App, Honourable Mention.

 

The inauguralcontest will see entrants compete against other experienced developers to create innovative apps that improve and help navigate everyday life. Apps UP contest provides a platform for developers in each of the five competition regions: Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, Latin America and China to showcase their skills and innovation.

 

Huawei also will hold a local contest for Egyptian developers, with registration from June 30th to July 31st, where the contestants will work on innovating apps that enhance and facilitate the daily lives of its users.

 

Huawei Egypt will also provide HUAWEI Nova 7i and HUAWEI Y7p devices to the developers for testing. The prizes of this competition are divided to 4 categories for 20 winners; Golden award for EGP 75,000 for the best 2 apps, Silver award for EGP 50,000 for each3rd to 8th places,Bronze award for EGP 25,000 for each 9th to 20th places.

 

HMS Core integrates Huawei’s Chipset-Device-Cloud capabilities, providing core capabilities to developers such as Machine Learning Kit, HiAI, AR Engine and more. Developers can easily achieve direct access and global all-scenario intelligence distribution across all devices by integrating their apps with HMS Core.
