CAIRO - 26 November 2019: "China Wisdom" is playing a significant role in driving Chinese "going out to sea" enterprises to move toward high-quality development, and making the cooperation between Egyptian and Chinese employees closer and the relationship more harmonious.

Undeniably, both in Egypt and China, the people are the creators of history and the fundamental force to determine the future and destiny of their country. Similarly, every responsible company will deeply root its own high-quality development in its employees, which can reflect the will of employees, protect employees' rights and encourage employees’ creativity effectively.

The CBD project of the new administrative capital of Egypt, with the joint efforts from the employees of Egypt and China, has progressed smoothly and orderly for more than a year since the start of construction. More and more aspiring youth from Egypt and China have joined the CSCEC Egypt (the Egypt branch of China State Construction Engineering Corporation) to contribute their own strength to the construction of the new capital, making the “expanding happiness space” advocated by CSCEC has become the constant pursuit for Egyptian and Chinese employees. It has also become a distinct value orientation for advancing the "One Belt and One Road" and building a community for human destiny.

Respect the status and initiative of employees. CSCEC Egypt always puts “employees” at the important position of enterprise development, and take the belief of guaranteeing employees to be the masters of the company as the starting point for the survival and growth of enterprises. Near one hundred operating rules and regulations are all initiated by employees of Egypt and China. They have risen to institution through bottom-up and top-down positive interactions. In the early stage of formulating institution, all the employees of CSCEC from Egypt and China participated in this progress deeply. They propose lots of reasonable suggestions according to their own laws and regulations respectively, revising and improving constantly, so that they could own the ultimate right to judge the rationality of these systematic regulations. During the implementation of the CBD project in the new capital, CSCEC Egypt hand over the management authority to the employees of Egypt and China, and listen to their opinions and suggestions.

Finally, they collected more than 1,100 opinions and suggestions from the employees of Egypt and China, and adopted more than 400 articles which promote the implementation of the project effectively. Furthermore, CSCEC Egypt carried out “tutor-apprentice bond” activity in a wide range, clearly requiring the employees of Egypt and China who have rich professional skills and work experience to form mutual-help couples with the new employees. Up to now, more than 500 employees in the CBD project have spontaneously formed mutual-help couples and the “master" from different countries is teaching the working technique and constructing skills to the "foreign apprentice" everywhere. The coupled-employees of Egypt and China not only help each other at work, but also contact closely in life, making transnational friendship become a beautiful business card for the new capital of Egypt.

Implement the staff-core development philosophy. Focusing on employees is a distinctive feature for CSCEC Egypt to implement the corporate management. In the process of corporate management, they always regard the realization, maintenance, and development of the fundamental interests of employees as the starting point and the end result of all work. For example, in the P3 package of the CBD project, they have set up recruitment points in Aswan and Cairo, and provided jobs for nearly 100 Egyptians.

During the implementation of this project, CSCEC Egypt actively take on social responsibilities, and go to the charity to support orphans and the elderly. They set up the “Confucius Primary School” spontaneously to teach Chinese and Arabic for resident children and employees to improving the communication of cultures. In addition, through the opportunities of traditional festival of Egypt and China, such us Spring Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Eid, Eid al-Adha, Mid-Autumn Festival, and Double Ninth Festival, they organize some activities to give presents, such as the Eid gift and Eid meal to the employees’ family and learn about their family circumstance, so that corporation can provide accurate support to the needy employees. Furthermore, they also carried out a variety of cultural and sports activities, holding the basketball game, table tennis match and football match for staff to improving their friendship and cooperation. Recently, as the only foreign-invested company, CSCEC Egypt was awarded by the Egyptian Ministry of Labor for participating social security actively.

Take employees as the stable foundation for the company’s long-term development of the company and the powerful strength for the company's long-term success. With the concept of using the employee's feelings to highlight the value of management, and using employee's wisdom to motivate the energy of company, CSCEC has gradually gathered the great power to achieve high-quality development of the company. As the pioneer to take Chinese construction root in the Egyptian market, practice the “Belt and Road” and construct the community of human destiny, CSCEC Egypt regards every employee as a motivator for innovation.

In the CBD project, CSCEC Egypt have recruited more than 400 residents as managers for various positions and more than 3,000 local labors work on the site, providing employment for more than 5,000 Egyptians indirectly. They set corresponding plan for the development of each employee’s career respectively and establish various channels for promotion and salary increase, so that employees can plan their own career and make effort for their future life.

Through the verbal spreading, nearly one-quarter of the employees were introduced by their friends who were employed earlier by CSCEC Egypt. More and more Egyptian young people took the initiative to join the construction of the CBD project, becoming the significant force for building the new capital, and also accumulating many outstanding talents in various filed for the long-term development of CSCEC Egypt.
