CAIRO – 10 June 2017: Saudi airlines organized ten flights from Cairo International Airport to Saudi Arabia Friday to transport 3,400 pilgrims to performer umrah, the lesser pilgrimage.

Nine flights headed to Jeddah airport and one left for Medina, sources at the airport stated.

Number of Egyptian pilgrims travelling to perform Umrah this season and until mid-Ramadan reached 511,000, Al-Masry Al-Youm reported late May.

Umrah is the non-mandatory pilgrimage to Mecca which may be performed at any time of the year.
