The number of tourists will rise to 10 million by the end of 2018, Shaer told Egypt Today, adding that Egypt targets 14 million tourists in 2019 and 20 million in 2020, relying on current indications.

The Tourism Chamber Union will also amend tourism legislations to protect the industry from brokers and unlicensed companies after the elections running soon he continued.

Hotel and transport development, as well as the return of trained staff that left the sector during its recession will also be top priorities for the winning candidates, according to Shaer.
