Tourism Ministry launches nationwide awareness campaign

CAIRO – 5 May 2017: A new nationwide campaign has been launched by the Tourism Ministry under the slogan ‘’Tourism Is Our Future’’. The move is an attempt at increasing awareness among and supplying training to workers in the tourism sector.

The ministry will organize a press conference to reveal more details on the campaign and its subsequent phases.

The campaign's first phase is scheduled for May 7 in Haram district in Giza, which is deemed as a famed tourist area, located close to the Pyramids.

The first phase will include holding sessions for workers in Haram District supplying them with instructions for more effective communicate with the tourists (especially foreigners). The session will be held in cooperation with the Tourism and Hotel Management Faculty's teaching staff from Helwan University.

This comes within the Ministry's efforts to revitalize the tourism sector which has been waning for the past six years due to perceived political unrest post-2011 revolution.
