Karen Couture designs feature intricate handmade details crafted together for a deceptively simple elegant look.
Meet Egyptian fashion designer Karen Nan, founder of Karen Nan Couture. The up-and-coming designer says her obsession with design began at age 10 when she started drawing fashion sketches.
“As I got older my love grew not only for drawing but sewing too," says Nan, who went on to study linguistics and literature. “When I graduated I felt I had to take my passion to the next level and start my career as a fashion designer,” she says.
A self-proclaimed perfectionist, Nan says she's always loved to be different. “And this is how I want my signature style to stand out among Egypt’s fashion industry. It is daring and provocative yet simple and feminine — every woman can look effortlessly confident, elegant and different when wearing the dresses."
"Desirable" is Nan's latest Spring/Summer 2016 couture collection, and features a line of gorgeous evening gowns all bearing Nan's signature style: complicated handmade details crafted together for a deceptively simple elegant look. “Every single piece has to be done with great detail so that no one can imitate my style or designs,” says Nan.
