New Cairo office for Air France, KLM Air France and KLM have moved their office to Cairo Festival City in New Cairo’s Fifth Settlement. The office can be found in Festival City’s Southern Business District, building B1, on the first floor, and is open Sunday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Inflight Connectivity on Etihad’s B777s Etihad Airways announced last month that all 24 of its Boeing 777 aircraft, — used for long-haul routes to Europe, Asia, and North and South America — now offer a full suite of inflight connectivity services including Wi-Fi, mobile services and Live TV. Packages to access the internet start at $5, purchased via credit cards, PayPal and other convenient payment methods. Mobile telephone usage is billed by the guest’s mobile service providers based on the international roaming rates. UAE’s national carrier is upgrading its entire fleet of 89 aircraft for inflight connectivity service. KLM App Adds Transfer Assistance Feature For trips transferring at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS), KLM now offers a gate-to-gate navigation feature on its app, which shows your current location on a map of the airport with the route and the time needed to walk to the next gate. Download the app before departure, and upon arrival at Schiphol, turn Bluetooth on and use the airport’s free Wi-Fi to connect to the internet. The new transfer service in the KLM app is available for Android and will be available soon for iOS. New British Airways App Features for iPhones British Airways passengers using Heathrow (LHR) Terminal 5 and Terminal 3 can now receive ‘push notifications’ on their iPhones about their flight status and when their gate is open and the aircraft is boarding. iPhone users with the British Airways app will also receive a personalised welcome pop up message and Wi-Fi password when entering the Terminal 5 lounge. The British Air app also is available on Android, Amazon Appstore, BlackBerry and Windows Phone models. Qatar Airways Adds Non-stop Flights to Capetown and Phuket Qatar Airways has launched non-stop daily flights to Phuket (HKT), Thailand, delinking the resort city from its Kuala Lumpur route as of October 26. Also, the Doha-based carrier starts non-stop service to Cape Town (CPT), South Africa, on November 3, increasing flights to five times weekly. Previously, Cape Town was served three times a week via the Johannesburg route. Turkish Airlines launches direct flights to Tallinn and Vilnius On October 26, Turkish Airlines launched direct flights to Estonia’s capital of Tallinn (TLL) and Lithuania’s capital Vilnius (VNO). Roundtrip flights between Istanbul (IST) and Tallinn run four times per week while the roundtrip flights between Istanbul and Vilnius run five times per week. Gulf Air Opens Kuwait-Larnaca Flights Gulf Air started direct, twice weekly connections between Kuwait (KWI) and Lanrnaca (LCA), Cyprus, on October 26. On October 28, Gulf Air launched four weekly flights between Moscow’s Domodedovo International Airport (DME) and Bahrain International Airport (BAH).
