CAIRO – 21 August 2017: BBC and ‘American Crime Story’ will show the death of the legendary fashion designer Gianni Versace in the summer of 1997 by releasing a series called ‘The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story’ in 2018.

Edgar Ramirez is going to take on the role of Gianni Versace, while Penelope Cruz will play Donatella (Gianni Versace's younger sister).

The controller of BBC Two, Patrick Holland, said to Attitude Online magazine: "I am thrilled that another season of ‘American Crime Story’ is coming to BBC Two. Ryan Murphy and his team created something truly special with ‘The People vs O.J Simpson,’ winning a much-merited BAFTA amongst a host of other awards. With British writer, Tom Rob Smith, one of the most exciting talents in television drama, across season two, ‘The Assassination of Gianni Versace’ promises to be a captivating viewing.”

We all cannot wait for the release of ‘The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story’ in 2018 because the Italian designer Gianni was not only the founder of the fashion house, Versace, but also dressed many celebrities and members of royalty.
