CAIRO – 6 August 2017: Ahmed Saédi is an engineer and self taught designer. At the beginning of his career he thought that he should work more on his designs. Hence, he took a fashion history class, he started reading more about fashion, and he started working on his mistakes, until he developed into being the designer that he is right now.

His first design was at the age of 10. It happened when his sister’s doll’s dress got lost, thus he took an old fabric and designed a dress for the doll.

He cannot remember the day he fell in love with fashion, however as long as he remembers that everyone used to ask him for fashion advice.

The fact that he loves fashion is goes back to his mother. She taught him how to sew and she used to design dresses. But she never wanted to get into the field of fashion because she felt it is going to be stressful on her.

He use to take the wastes of his mother’s fabrics and design dresses from his younger sisters.

By time he started to become more familiar with fabric, and now he can work with any kind of fabric. Moreover, when it comes to designing his own collection he uses leather, crepe, and chiffon, and his ultimate favorite is mixing between solid fabric and flowery fabrics that gives a very feminine look and shape.

His favorite designers are; Alaia, Iris Van Herpen and Stephane Rolland

Last year the brand was going through a major change; the team was growing, the brand name changed and they have stores to be recognized. Also, he has been postponing next collection since 4 months now, because he has too much work on his hands and he wants to finalize his work perfectly.
