CAIRO - 3 January 2024: A total of 55 hot-air balloon flights carrying 1,400 tourists from around the world, operated on Wednesday.
 
The flights were operated under the supervision of navigator Zakaria Abdel Azim, director of the ground of the balloon airport in Luxor.
 
In this regard, Khaled Soliman, an official at one of the companies, says that these trips are considered one of the most important touristic activities for tourists from around the world, as no tourist visits Egypt and Luxor without enjoying this wonderful flight.
 
There are different sizes of the balloon, either 800, which takes 30 people, or 600, which takes 30 people. A special balloon can be reserved for two or four people only.
 
Luxor is the capital of ancient Egyptian civilization, and everyone rushes to book their trips in a flying balloon without hesitation, as it holds a special magic for them.
 
Tourists around the world fly flights at heights from 1,200 feet to 1,500 feet to enjoy the magic of the view from the sky of the enchanting nature and archaeological and tourist attractions east and west in the ancient capital of Egypt, Luxor.
 
Luxor Governorate currently includes 19 companies working in serving tourists via flying balloons, and it has 8 models of Balloon basket, which includes a capacity starting from 2 passengers, 6, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28 and 32 passengers.
 
While this enchanting adventure with foreigners begins on this joyful journey after dawn, the tourists are brought from the hotels and boats in which they reside at 4:30 a.m., and they are served breakfast with tea and coffee, then they are transferred to the western mainland amid an atmosphere of fun, joy and singing in nile boats.
 
The tourists are then transported via tourist buses to the flying balloon airport to begin the journey. 
 
From the surface of the sea, the trip takes about 20 to 40 minutes, touring the temples of Queen Hatshepsut, the City of Workers, the Ramesseum Temple, the Colossi of Memnon, and the Nile Ribbon.
