Packaging 5K artifacts to Rashid Museum: Ministry of Antiques

CAIRO – 2 July 2017: Head of Central Administration for Conservation at Ministry of Antiques Gharib Sonbol said that within days they will finish packaging five thousand artifacts from warehouses in Alexandria.

Sonbol added that the pieces packaged will be transferred and exposed in Rashid Museum, referring that the packaging process is in accordance with modern scientific ways to preserve the artifacts.

Upon the general plan for museums administration that encourages more interaction between museums and visitors, Rashid Museum will publish monthly photos for groups of artifacts that exist at the museum, and the photo which gets the highest number of likes and comments, under the name “You Decide”, will be titled piece of the month.
