CAIRO – 22 December 2020: Egypt’s Minister of Culture  Inas Abdel Dayem witnessed "We are the Joy" celebration organized by the ministry, represented by the Theater Art House in cooperation with the Egyptian Opera House on the occasion of the International Day for People with Special Needs.

 

Abdel Dayem praised the celebration, noting that it expressed the feelings and dreams of people with special needs and highlighted their energies.

 

She added that the work strategy of the Ministry of Culture includes a path to integrate people with special needs into society naturally through various forms of creativity.

 

The celebration included the inauguration of an exhibition of plastic arts creations of 30 children with special needs, as well as a singing performance titled "We are the Joy."

 

It is worth noting that the Egyptian Ministry of Culture provides many services for people with special needs, including the opening of specialized classes at talent development centers in Cairo and the other governorates and receiving them to study at the Academy of Arts, that is in addition to preparing entrances for them in the theaters and halls of the ministry to facilitate them and establishing Al-Shams Theater Group, in addition to organizing many activities, events and competitions for them.
