CAIRO - 29 April 2020: Egypt’s Ministry of Culture will present a spiritual evening produced by the Egyptian Opera House on April 30 at 10 p.m.

The spiritual evening will be available on the ministry’s official YouTube channel. The digital initiative brings together the Cairo Opera Orchestra, led by maestro Sherif Mohy el-Din, and the Abdel Halim Nowera Arab Music Ensemble led by maestro Salah Ghobashi.

The evening presents selected religious works, performed by Ajfan, Ayat Farouk, Howaida Salah, Soma, Reham Abdel Hakim, Mai Farouk, Mohsen Farouk and Abdullah al-Ruwaished.

At 9:30 p.m., a lecture from the “Start Your Dream” workshop will be broadcast, preceded by a new episode of "Fawazeer Cinema Masr" at 5 p.m.

It is worth noting that Egyptian Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem is launching the theatrical initiative "Laugh - Think - Know", implemented by the Theater House headed by Ismail Mukhtar.

The Theater House is represented by “Al-Mowajaha” Theatrical group led by Sameh Basyouni, and the National Theater group led by Ihab Fahmy.

The initiative aims to present ten short recorded plays in the first stage. Filmed by Ayman Mostafa and inspired by the short stories of Russian author Anton Chekhov, the plays are 20-50 minutes each.

This comes within the framework of the ministry’s e-initiative “Stay At Home. Culture Is Between Your Hands”, and will be available on the ministry’s official YouTube channel.
