CAIRO - 29 August 2019: The management of the All Africa Music Awards nominated Tamer Hussein for the Best African Poet of the Year Award for the song “NasiniLaih'' by Tamer Hosny.

Voting is scheduled to open in early September and the prize will be awarded in November.

A number of African poets are competing with Hussein for the award, most notably Afri from Uganda, Asiki George from Nigeria, Canfi Adams from Liberia, in addition to poets from Angola, South Africa and Nigeria.

All Africa Music Awards aka AFRIMA is an annual awards event. It was established by the International Committee AFRIMA, in collaboration with the African Union (AU) to reward and celebrate musical works, talents and creativity acrossthe African continent while promoting the African cultural heritage.
