CAIRO - 3 June 2017: The name of the television series “Kafr Delhab” is inspired by the word delhab, which is the name of a devil according to a video released by Extra Egypt on Monday.

According to legend, delhab is the name of a devil that lives in the seas and appears in the form of a human terrifying boats and driving them offshore or into the deep seas.

This series marks is the second of its kind to showcase the name of a devil following the previously aired ‘Lebet Eblis’ (The Devil’s Game) in 2015.

Airing this month in Ramadan, the TV series stars Youssef El Sherif and revolves around a charmed village filled with magicians and a series of horrendous events. The series recorded a high viewership in its first two days, reaching two million views.
