CAIRO – 6 December 2018: The events of the 62nd edition of Beirut International Book Fair, in which 11 Egyptian publishers take part, will kick off on Thursday, Dec. 6 at Seaside Arena, downtown Beirut.

Around 245 Arab and foreign publishing houses from eight countries, including Kuwait, Egypt, Sudan, Oman, Palestine, Iran, and Ukraine will participate in this year’s edition with 170 Lebanese publishers, 75 foreign and Arab publishers and 11 Egyptian publishers.

Running from December 6 to 17, the Beirut Annual International Arab Book Fair is organized by the Arab Cultural Club and the Union of Publishers in Lebanon.

The book fair will also host many parallel seminars and masterclasses on a wide range of social and political issues, varying from cyber crimes, transparency, to solutions to Arab conflicts.

To keep up with development and modern technology, the Union of Publishers in Lebanon announced that a mobile application will be launched to enable visitors to search for any book or author participating in the fair.
